Book Review || Caraval

“She imagined loving him would feel like falling in love with darkness, frightening and consuming yet utterly beautiful when the stars came out.”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

This book did swept me too far away like what they did to Scarlett but then it was so magical and enchanting to read. I really love the magic in this book, everything sounds so magical from the clothes itself on how it shifts and how every place in the Caraval is been described. Everytime I read it feels like I’m in the Caraval playing along with Scarlett.

I’m really looking forward buying the other 2 books especially when we are about to meet the true Legend, and also it’ts Tella’s turn to play the game- i really want to experience her journey because she is truly one the interesting characters.

What a wonderful. mysterious and enchanting journey to read this book and I’m happy to go over again by Caraval #2: Legendary and Caraval #3: Finale

Book Review || The Summer I Turned Pretty

Moments, when lost, can’t be found again. They’re just gone.

Rating: 3 out of 5.

At first six pages of the book, I immediately fell in love with Beck’s boys, especially how Belly describes them specifically Conrad. But about halfway through the book I almost quit reading it because how Belly acts like a little child or some parts of the story didn’t appeal to me like To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before but then I shouldn’t compare one book to the other. This book has its own charm.

I was a Conrad girl always but then Cam came. Cam is that boy that makes you feel special in ways you could never imagine. Cam is the one who noticed you when nobody did, he was that guy. I was so saddened that he was somehow or only a summer fling to Belly. But then I can’t blame her, Cam was the one who kinda fulfilled her desire of love when Conrad couldn’t, but then again not his fault.

As for Jeremiah, at first, I really thought he was a douchebag, but then again, can’t blame him because he feels kinda jealous although he didn’t admit it, no- it looks like for me he didn’t want to live under the shadows of his brother.

One of the best thing in this book is the friendship between Susannah and Laurel. It was a friendship that will totally last and as the book says they had a beautiful friendship and a lot of weird stuff happened during their younger years. ASLO, I loved it when Taylor had been dropped out in sometime there, she was annoying. Boys boys boys. Anyways, I was saddened though because Belly had lost her only bestfriend.

Now, in the most intense part:

“Get out of my face” Conrad growled.

“No.” Jeremiah stepped closer, until their faces were inches apart, just like ours had been not fifteen minutes before.

“I’m warning you, Jeremiah.”

And that was the moment I knew that everything I had known was just wasn’t everything. I went silent after that. Hands up to Jenny Han, she is the only one who can make me feel this way. There is a reason why she is my number one favorite Author. I am looking forward to finish this series. Thank you Jenny Han for another wonderful series to take journey on.

Book Review || Always and Forever, Lara Jean

“You can’t protect him from being hurt, babe, no matter what you do. Being vulnerable, letting people in, getting hurt…it’s all part of being in love.”

Rating: 5 out of 5.

All I could say is “Wow, thank you Jenny Han for this wonderful trilogy.” This last book just made me think how love can affect you in many ways.

This book is such a master piece, a master piece dedicated to the people who had their first love and how challenges affect them as they go on through their life.  After delaying reading this book i finally had the chance t read it again during our semester break.  I was about half of the book when i started to read it again.  And I must say at the back of my head I was sad knowing that I will surely done reading this book by the end of the day but i was also happy that I could finally read Lara Jean’s unexpected turns of her life.

This book holds a lot of events in Lara Jean’s life, from deciding which university should she go, Ms. Rothschild (Trina) being their stepmother, Trina and Margot not living harmoniously for a short period of time until when Lara became drunk one night, her and Peter first break-up and more. I just love the fact that this book doesn’t only revolve around Lara Jean’s love life like any other book does. The book revolves everything that surrounds her and i love that.

I absolutely love this book , it is just that their love seems so soft and pure. it’s kind of teen love that will surely last. I had a splendid time reading this trilogy. I had the best Lara Jean adventure.

Always and forever,

I still wonder what happened after that stargazing night, her summer in Korea and even their college life but ALAS! I think it’ll be up to us, i guess…
